Use the Broward Clerk’s criminal case access to identify the case number and whether the matter is Circuit Criminal felony or Traffic/Misdemeanor. The online docket is an index to the case; it is not automatically the judgment, plea, sentencing order or dismissal you may need as proof.

Older criminal records can require a request outside the main online view
Broward states that pre-2011 traffic and misdemeanor cases were routinely purged from the main system and may require a purged-record search. For a mailed search, the clerk asks for the defendant name and date of birth plus the incident date or year; add the case/citation number and a brief description when available.
For criminal court records filed on or after January 6, 2014, electronic documents are available for Circuit Criminal Felony subject to access standards and document availability. Older files and unavailable images can require the Archives/Court Division or the Court Records Request Form.
Certification changes the product, not the meaning of the case

A Broward court file is not the same as a Florida criminal-history check
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement criminal-history check is a separate statewide repository product. Use FDLE when the task is a statewide Florida history search; use Broward court records to verify the actual local prosecution, charge history and disposition.
When a repository result and a Broward docket appear inconsistent, obtain the source-court disposition before drawing a conclusion. Arrest, charge, dismissal and conviction are different events.
No online image does not mean “no case”
